Exclusive | Singer-actress-entrepreneur Rita Ora on shoes, shades and shopping addictions

Rita Ora is well personified, and so it’s no surprise that all of her projects revolve around style, in one way or another. The video for her infectious single “Ask and You Shall Receive” is an updated homage to a sexy Levi’s ad from 1985 – complete with Ora wearing petal-like Gerber Daisy eyelashes and red lipstick, shot in the same laundry as “Everything Everywhere All at once” and directed by her husband Taika Waititi.

She brought her A-plus fashion game as a judge on season 11 of The Masked Singer (and will return for season 12 on Fox this fall). Her hair line, TypeBea, which launched in April after three painstaking years in the making, is a true labor of love. And the latest Primark collection of the British Albanian is inspired by Glastonbury and Coachella festivals. “Clothes are ethereal, nostalgic and liberating,” says Alexa Ora, 33. “Pops tap into that boho-chic look and feature oversized ruffles, sheer dresses, and simple accessories.”

Next, Ora will play the incredibly fabulous Queen of Hearts in Descendants: The Rise of Red, which premieres on Disney+ on July 12. “Playing a bit of a villain turned out to be even more fun than I thought it would be. and the costumes were out of this world!” says the singer of “Don’t think twice”.

The multi-hyphenate’s closet has bold colors and Berkins, but she admits she can have a strong addiction to buying sneakers and sneakers, as both have their own extensive sections in her closet. The star loves mixing high and low in all things, including the one below.

“With TypeBea, it was important to me and my partner, Anna Lahey, to create hair care products that make your hair feel like it’s getting the attention it deserves. I love using this mask on my hair after a long day to hydrate and keep it feeling healthy. It has all the ingredients you could want – biometric ceramide to reduce breakage and split ends, hyaluronic acid for deep hydration, argon oil for shine and shea butter to infuse moisture and protect your hair.”

“Home fragrance is something I take very seriously, and I’m a big fan of anything vanilla-scented, so I like to cover the house with this candle from Diptyque to make it feel cozier. Something about it feels like a soft, warm embrace.”

“It’s the perfect embodiment of what we wanted to achieve with this collection, as it mixes this boho-chic energy with a vintage and effortless feel. It pairs very well with many different tops, but my favorite option is a classic white tank.”

“I worked with Shani (who is amazing) to get ready for the Met Gala this year and she was nice enough to let me take home one of these face sculpting sticks, and it’s easily become the part my new favorite in my skin care routine. It’s perfect for those early mornings before work or when your skin just needs that extra confidence boost.”

“I try to read every chance I get and I’m always looking for the next best book. This is my current obsession. It follows the disappearance of two young women, except the story is told in reverse, which makes it even more compelling. It’s an exciting read and one that has kept me on the edge of my seat since I picked it up.”

“One of the best beauty tips I got was to never leave home without your favorite lip gloss and this new gloss from Charlotte Tilbury has become my ultimate gloss. I love the balance between the pink and nude shades. It delivers just enough color to lift a look, but subtle enough to go with a variety of looks. It really makes my lips feel like a pillow.”

“I carry this with me everywhere I go because it’s light, fresh and perfect for day or night!”

“Tequila has always been my favorite drink, so I love being a part of this incredible industry and helping to create a quality spirit that I can not only enjoy, but also share with the rest of the world. Of the three expressions we have, I tend to go for the Añejo, which is perfect for drinking over ice.

“Anyone who knows me knows that I am a Pilates enthusiast. Kirsten King, who is the founder of Fluidform Pilates, was generous enough to gift me this set, and it’s been a real game changer – especially when I’m traveling and don’t have time to go to a Pilates class. I’ll just throw the Magic Circle or ankle weights in my bag so I can stay active on the road.”

“This is definitely more of a self-indulgent moment, but I use this bag every day, whether I’m running to the gym or going to the studio. It’s big enough to fit everything you might want to throw in a bag—from workout clothes to a picnic blanket to your entire skincare routine!”

“I love everything that Marni designs. They dressed me for the Met Gala this year and were so amazing to work with! For summer, I always love a good pop of color, and these clogs have quickly become my go-to shoes for summer.

“Sunglasses are like shoes to me – you can never have too many! I like the oversized look and I’m a big fan of light colored lenses.”

“With all the traveling I do, it’s so important for me to stay on top of my supplements and vitamins so I can be as healthy as possible. These vitamin C packs are a lifesaver and help give that extra boost to the immune system.”
