Piers Morgan released a bubble critic of journalist Taylor Lorenz during an episode of “Piers Morgan not censored” on Monday, slamming her remarks in a recent CNN documentary in which she withdrew on the suspect in the killing of a health insurance executive.
“I was pretty dawn with the tone you took about Luigi Mangione because, as I pointed to X, the boy is a cold -blooded killer,” Morgan said during a swap with Lorenz on Monday.
The host accused Lorenz of “Fangirling” and “Swooning” on Mangione, 26-year-old Ivy League’s 26-year-old accused of killing CEO of UNITEHEALTHCARE Brian Thompson outside a manhattan hotel in early December.
“Someone who executed someone who is the father of two children, a business executive, and deserves nothing but a public oprobrium, and despise what he did, despite any arguments about the current state of health,” Morgan added.
The controversy stems from Lorenz’s comments in “Extreme American”, a documentary organized by the CNN Donie O’Sullivan correspondent.
In the film, Lorenz described the mangion in romantic terms, saying it made sense that some women withdrew “this man who is famous, who is a handsome, who is a smart, who is” who looks like this morally good man who is difficult to find “.
Her remarks sparked immediate reactions, especially by Morgan, who accused Lorenz and the production of CNN of glamorizing a killer.

Drawing a direct line for mangion, Morgan stated, “He is not a beautiful, charismatic hero of freedom of freedom. He is a disgusting human being that plotted and executed a cold -blooded execution of a father of two. That is what is.”
Throughout the segment, Morgan challenged Lorenzi for what he saw as a failure to call the fascination of the public with violent criminals, saying: “You can call me the police of our own everything you like, but where was the punishment of this hero’s worship? It was not there.”
Prosecutor General Pam Bondi has said the Trump administration plans to seek the death penalty against mangion, describing the attack as a calculated and brutal murder.
Lorenz is not a foreigner for controversy. She attracted sharp criticism last week after admitting a post on social media suggesting that President Joe Biden had died initially “she took her hopes.”
Lorenz, known for her open views on progressive causes, has been vocal in her disapproval of Biden, especially for his support for Israel between the continued conflict in Gaza.

Last year, she left the Washington Post after an internal investigation into a social media post, where she referred to Biden as a “war criminal”, a situation that is reported to have strained her relationship with the publication leadership.
